1.About these terms
These Terms of Use (also called our Terms of Service) are an agreement between you and Alzo Foundation, a not-for-profit company registered in India under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U85420DL2026NPL467225), which runs Allah is One (“we”, “us”). They cover the Allah is One app and allahisone.com.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you set up or use an account for a child, you agree on the child’s behalf.
2.Who can use Allah is One
- You must be 13 or older to create an account yourself.
- A child under 13 may use Allah is One only through an account that a parent or guardian creates and manages. The parent is responsible for the child’s use of the service and for spending on the child’s account.
- If you are 13 to 17, you need your parent’s or guardian’s permission to use the service.
- You must be 18 or older to teach, receive payouts, cash out coins or add children to your account.
3.Your account
- Give accurate information, including your real name and date of birth. One account per person.
- You sign in with a code sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. Don’t let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for what happens on it.
- Tell us straight away at contact@alzofoundation.com if you think someone else has access to your account.
4.What we provide
- Allah is One connects learners with independent Quran teachers for live online lessons. It also runs webinars and offers a Quran reader, progress tracking, a community feed and a way to donate lessons.
- Teachers are independent. They are not our employees or agents, and they set their own rates within limits we set. We check every teacher’s identity against a government photo ID and review their application before approving them, but we don’t guarantee any teacher’s knowledge, teaching, availability or any learning outcome.
- We may change, add or remove features. We work to keep the service available but can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
5.Community rules
These rules apply everywhere on Allah is One: in lessons, webinars, posts, comments and support messages.
Please do
- Be respectful and kind to teachers and fellow learners.
- Keep lessons focused on learning the Quran and Islamic knowledge.
- Turn up on time, and let your teacher know early if you can’t make it.
Please don’t
- Harass, threaten or abuse anyone, or post hate speech, sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content.
- Record, screenshot or share a lesson or webinar without the consent of everyone in it.
- Ask for or arrange payment outside the app, or try to move lessons off Allah is One.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are or your qualifications.
- Post anything unlawful, misleading or spam, or anything you don’t have the right to share.
- Interfere with the service, access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or scrape it with bots.
To report a person or content, use Report in the … menu on their profile, post or comment, or Help & support in the app, or email contact@alzofoundation.com. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules, and we report anything that puts a child at risk to the authorities, as the law requires.
You can also block anyone from the same menu. Neither of you will then see the other’s profile, posts or comments, you can’t follow each other, and they can’t book lessons with you or you with them. They aren’t told. You can unblock people in Settings → Blocked accounts.
6.If you teach
- Your application, documents and profile must be true and your own. We may verify them, ask for more, and approve, refuse or withdraw approval.
- Many students are children. Keep every lesson and all contact with students on Allah is One. Never ask a student under 18 for personal contact details, or to talk or meet outside the platform. Teach from a suitable setting, and dress and behave appropriately.
- You set your per-minute rate within the range we allow. Learners pay for connected time; we keep a platform share of each lesson fee and credit the rest to your earnings, which you can see in the app.
- Payouts go to a bank account verified through RazorpayX once your earnings reach the minimum shown in the app. We may hold a payout while we look into a dispute, a refund or suspected fraud.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. We collect your PAN because we may have to deduct or report tax on payouts where the law requires.
- We may suspend or remove a teacher who breaks these terms, receives serious complaints, or puts students at risk.
7.Payments, coins and refunds
Wallet
- You add money to your wallet in Indian rupees through Razorpay. Your balance pays for lessons, coins and donations.
- The wallet is not a bank account. It earns no interest, and a learner’s balance can’t be withdrawn as cash. If you have a balance you no longer need, contact us.
- Money donated to you is meant for your lessons. It can’t be donated onward, withdrawn or refunded to you.
Lessons
- Each teacher’s per-minute rate is shown before you book.
- When a lesson starts, we hold enough from your wallet for a standard-length lesson. You are charged only for the time you and your teacher are both connected, at the teacher’s rate, and the unused part of the hold returns to your wallet when the lesson ends. A lesson ends automatically when the held time runs out.
- Nothing is charged for a request the teacher declines or that expires, or for a request you cancel before the lesson starts.
Coins
- Coins are credits for use inside Allah is One, for webinar seats and stickers. You can buy them through Razorpay or with your wallet balance. Coins are not money and have no cash value, except as below.
- Coins you earn as a webinar host or speaker can be cashed out by adults with a verified payout account, once they reach the minimum shown in the app. Bought coins can’t be cashed out.
- Coins spent on seats or stickers are final. If a webinar you paid for doesn’t take place, contact us.
Donations
- A donation pays for lessons for a learner you name or for the next learners in the queue. Donations are made from your wallet and are final once made.
Refunds
- If you think you were charged wrongly, open a billing dispute: in the app under Help & support, or on the website under Wallet → Refunds & disputes. We will review it and tell you the outcome.
- Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method through Razorpay, or credited to your wallet. When a payment is refunded, what it added to your account (wallet balance or coins) is taken back.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right to a refund you have under Indian consumer law.
Closing an account with a balance
Before you delete your account, spend your balance or contact us about it. Once the 30-day grace period ends, your account no longer carries your name or email, and we can no longer match a balance to you.
8.Your content
- You keep ownership of what you post: posts, photos, videos, comments, reviews and webinar content.
- You give Alzo Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display and share that content within Allah is One, with the people you shared it with, for as long as it is on the service. For webinars you host or speak in, this includes recording them and offering the replay to signed-in users.
- You must have the right to share what you post, and it must follow these terms. We may remove content or limit who sees it if it breaks these terms or the law.
- Reviews must be honest and about your own experience.
9.Suspension and closing your account
- You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Delete account. The Privacy Policy explains what happens next.
- We may suspend or close an account, remove content or hold a payout if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms or the law, put others at risk or committed fraud, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
- Terms that by their nature should continue after an account closes, such as amounts owed, the licence for content already shared, the liability terms and governing law, continue.
10.Disclaimers and liability
- We provide the service “as is” and “as available”. Lessons are given by independent teachers, and we are not responsible for what a teacher or another user says or does, although we act on reports.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can’t be excluded under Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11.App Store
If you got the app from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and Alzo Foundation, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, for maintaining or supporting it, or for any claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
12.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Allah is One after that, you accept the new terms; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
13.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly. Subject to any right you have under consumer protection law to bring a complaint where you live, the courts at New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
